Silverstone has confirmed that the Formula 1 British Grand Prix is to be held without fans in attendence.

A letter was sent to ticket holders this week stated that it wasn't possible due to current social distancing measures to have an audience in the stands.

Although it has yet to be confirmed, the track is expected to stage two races, following on from the two opening rounds to be held in Austria.
