THE Ferrari, Jordan, Benetton, Jaguar and Minardi teams are all carrying the United States flag on their cars this weekend.

Michael Schumacher, Rubens Barrichello, Ralf Schumacher and Jarno Trulli have incorporated American flags into their helmet designs as a gesture in support of the US in the wake of the appalling terror attacks in New York and Washington.

Plans have been made for patriotic display of support on race day with 100,000 US flags being handed to the crowd. Rock stars John Mellencamp and Patti Labelle will both be involved with Labelle singing "God Bless America" and Mellencamp performing "Peaceful World" from his new "Cuttin' Heads" album.
