F1 holding out for Qualifying window

With continued rain in the Austin today, F1 officials are still holding out hope that qualifying will take place today.

With continued rain in the Austin today, F1 officials are still holding out hope that qualifying will take place today, and beginning at the scheduled 1pm start time this afternoon they will hope to find a window in the weather good enough for the cars to run. If the session cant be held due to the conditions by 4pm it is expected that qualifying will be held at 9am on Sunday morning with the race starting at 2pm.

FIA Race Director Charlie Whiting said, "The problem we have is that the bad weather is not moving in a linear way, but sort of going round in circles, going back and forth, so that makes it very hard to predict what will happen in two or three hours. Well have to wait and see and be prepared to react quickly."
