De la Rosa happy with first test
PEDRO DE LA ROSA completed his first test for the Jaguar team on Friday, and believes after a slow start he is fitting in well with the British team.
The Spaniard had originally promised his services to Prost for this season but amid much controversy he made the move to Jaguar.
He completed 121 laps of the Silverstone circuit for his new team, and topped the times in the R2 when he finally found a satisfactory set-up on Friday.
"I like to have a lot of grip at the front," explained De la Rosa after his final day's testing. "Today we've focused on testing different front aerodynamic set-ups, and finally we have managed to adapt the car to my driving style."
What did please Jaguar's new tester was the rapid improvements he found throughout the test, and he added: "The more kilometers I have done the better it has been for everyone.
"In these last three days we've seen rain and sunny days because of the changeable weather conditions I've been able to test the three different Michelin tires."
De la Rosa's next test will be at the Circuit de Catalunya in Barcelona, after next week's Malaysian Grand Prix.
