Indianapolis had changed its timetable to fit in with European TV audiences. The practice and qualifying sessions will be moved forward by an hour with practice in Saturday being moved to 08.00 and 09.15, an hour earlier than previously planned. This will means that qualifying will be run at 13.00 local time (17.00 GMT).

The change has been made because of the tight fight for the World Championship and rising interest as the World Championship moves towards a showdown.

"Worldwide attention on this fascinating and exciting Formula 1 season continues to grow," said Indianapolis Vice-President Joe Chitwood. "All eyes will be focused on Indianapolis."

The race schedule is unchanged and will start on Sunday at 13.00.
