Marc Gene, who did such a good job for BMW Williams at Monza last weekend, has split with Team Adrian Campos in the Formula Nissan series. The Spanish driver has apparently decided to concentrate all his energy on Formula 1. His Formula Nissan team boss Adrian Campos (a former Grand Prix driver himself) has suggested that the split came about because Gene was having to give too much of his attention to F1 and not enough to Formula Nissan.

Gene is hoping that his performance at Monza will lead to F1 opportunities next year and with rumors that Juan Pablo Montoya may move to McLaren a year early, it is clear what Gene would like to be doing next season.
