There are rumours in the United States that former Minardi F1 team boss Paul Stoddart is going to buy into the CTE/HVM Champ Car team, which is run by former F1 team owner Keith Wiggins, who ran the Pacific Grand Prix operation back in the early 1990s. It is not yet clear what the details will be but the stories circulating suggest that there could be as many as four cars in the team next year and there are suggestions that Justin Wilson, who was runner-up in the series this year, could in one of them. CTE/HVM currently runs two cars for Nelson Philippe, who finished fourth in the championship this year, and Dan Clarke, who finished second in the Rookie of the Year award to Australian Will Power.
Wilson's future with Rusport is under discussion at the momewnt because the team owner Carl Russo may be ducking out of racing to move to Europe to create a new business. Russo has made millions in the telecommunications industry.
