WilliamsF1 has parted company with its chief executive officer Chris Chapple. Chapple has been with the team for two years and is moving on to "a new challenge", whatever that may be.

Chapple came into racing with no background in the sport but soon showed that his background in business was rather different to the way in which the sport worked. Despite this he pulled off a number of important deals for Williams, probably the most significant being the negotiations to get a settlement from Jenson Button and indeed from Nick Heidfeld. He also played a key role in getting a commercial deal with Bernie Ecclestone. These were important to help get through the difficult times following the split with BMW.
