Ferrari reveal top trio will stay

FERRARI's sporting director Jean Todt and all the key members of Ferrari's design team will remain with the Italian outfit until the end of 2004, it was confirmed on Wednesday.

FERRARI's sporting director Jean Todt and all the key members of Ferrari's design team will remain with the Italian outfit until the end of 2004, it was confirmed on Wednesday.

Ferrari has announced that Todt, technical director Ross Brawn, chief designer Rory Byrne, and director of the engine department Paolo Martinelli, will all remain with the team for another three seasons after this year.

The revelation has scotched rumors that many key staff would be leaving the team - Todt was rumored to be moving to Renault for next year, while Ross Brawn had been linked with Jaguar - and it confirms that the successful combination of Brawn and Byrne, who have been together since their days with world champion Michael Schumacher at Benetton, will continue.

Meanwhile, Schumacher was given the key to the city of Modena on Tuesday, receiving the honor in the presence of Piero Ferrari, son of the team's founder Enzo.
