Berger believes Button will thrive at Benetton
JENSON BUTTON has been tipped by BMW motorsport director Gerhard Berger to continue his impressive form at Benetton next season and not be fazed by the team's flamboyant boss Flavio Briatore.
The 20-year-old Briton has been loaned by BMW-Williams to Benetton for two years from 2001 and Berger, who was instrumental in Button's appointment last January, is sure that he will be able to handle life under his new boss Briatore.
Berger said: "Flavio can be a difficult guy to work for. But I don't think Jenson will be affected."
Berger, who recently went on record as saying that Button will become a future world champion, continued to sing the praises of the youngster by saying that he is already a top driver after just one season.
Berger added: "He's not affected by anybody, he just does his job, exactly like you'd expect from a top driver. If you're a top driver you don't need anyone telling you what to do, how to do things - and Jenson certainly is a top driver."
