Super Aguri to delay new car

The new Super Aguri SA6 will not be ready for the San Marino Grand Prix. The team has been concentrating its resources on developing the SA5 and that means that inevitably the new car has had to take a back seat in the last few weeks and that means that the new chassis will appear later in the European season.

The new Super Aguri SA6 will not be ready for the San Marino Grand Prix. The team has been concentrating its resources on developing the SA5 and that means that inevitably the new car has had to take a back seat in the last few weeks and that means that the new chassis will appear later in the European season. The races come thick and fast after Imola with weeks before the European GP but then the Spanish race the following weekend. There is then a fortnight before Monaco but that is not the best place to debut a new car. One can speculate therefore that if the team does not have the new car ready for the Nurburgring, it might not be seen until the British GP in June. At the moment, however, there is not clear idea of when the car will be seen.
