Bruno Senna will travel to Brisighella in Italy to receive the Lorenzo Bandini Trophy, an award voted by the home town of the leading Italian driver who was killed in the 1967 Monaco GP.

The award is made to "a driver who has shown great promise at the beginning of their career."

It is traditional for the award winner to make the 12km drive from Faenza to Brisighella to receive the award and Senna says he is looking forward to the July 15 ceremony.

"It's a great honour," he said, "particularly when you consider the excellent drivers awarded the trophy in the past."

The previous roll of honour includes Michael Schumacher, Fernando Alonso, Lewis Hamilton and Juan Pablo Montoya.
