As we exclusively reported last week Gunther Steiner has been appointed as the new technical director of Red Bull Racing. The team will be making more changes in the weeks ahead but has confirmed that the car will run at Jerez on February 7. David Coulthard had a seat fitting in the new car yesterday in the factory at Milton Keynes and the team is now working towards producing the necessary cars and going testing. The team will have its official launch in Melbourne.

The changes ahead are expected to concentrate initially on the marketing department where several executives will go while the team management is also looking at making changes to the technical staff. We hear that Dr. Mark Gillan has been convinced to stay on for the first few races of 2005 before taking up his professorship at the University of Surrey.

The team has yet to decide on drivers but we believe that Christian Klien will start the year in the second car and if he fails to deliver or is overshadowed by third driver Vitantonio Liuzzi the Italian will then take over the car. This has yet to be confirmed by the team but it makes sense as the Austrian press will not be able to attack Red Bull if the driver does not deliver.
