Champ Cars looking to Asia

The Champ Car World Series has signed a deal with a Beijing promotional company to run a race in the Chinese capital in 2006.

The Champ Car World Series has signed a deal with a Beijing promotional company to run a race in the Chinese capital in 2006. Champ Car has recently opened an office in Korea to coordinate its Asian activities which will include a race on a parkland track in Ansan and, according to stories in Japan, a street circuit in the northern city of Otaru, on the island of Hokkaido. The idea may be possible because the island has recently started running a WRC event in the area and things have gone well.
