Yoong to take over at Minardi

MALAYSIA's Alex Yoong impressed the Minardi team in his recent testing and he is expected to test several more times for the team in the course of the next few weeks.

MALAYSIA's Alex Yoong impressed the Minardi team in his recent testing and he is expected to test several more times for the team in the course of the next few weeks. If he continues to show well and can get a Superlicence it is possible that Yoong might be in a position to take over from Tarso Marques in September.

The team remains tight-lipped on the subject saying that Marques is doing a good solid job in difficult circumstances.
