ALEXANDER WURZ's manager Peter Cramer said on Tuesday that the Austrian driver has successfully come through an operation to cure a knee injury.

The new McLaren test driver came through the operation on his right knee on Monday unscathed and will be ready for testing duties with the Woking-based team in December.

Cramer said: "Alexander has come through his operation successfully and he feels fine. He had to have the operation on his right knee and it was just a basic and easy operation.

"He is feeling okay and there is no indication of any side effects at the moment. I fully expect him to be ready for December when he is due to take up some testing with McLaren."
