1997 World Champion Jacques Villeneuve is to open a new restaurant/bar in Montreal next year - and his old friend BAR team boss Craig Pollock will be one of the investors.

"I enjoy being in Montreal and for quite a while now I've been looking for a reason to spend more time there," said Villeneuve who admits that the theme of the premises will not be linked to F1.

The 19,000 square foot, four story complex is expected to house a nightclub, restaurant, bar-lounge and a terrace. The establishment will apparently maintain the historic facade of one of the two buildings on the lot, since the remaining bricks from the demolition process were kept and will form part of the new architecture.

Two seasoned professionals in the entertainment and restaurant business, Martin Poitras and Jean-Pierre Da Costa Li, will share the task of managing and designing the project. Poitras is a well-known event promoter in Montreal while Da Costa Li was a restaurant operator in Monaco before moving to Quebec a year ago.
