Toyota passes FIA safety tests

Toyota F1 has announced that their new car has passed all the FIA safety tests, and has been cleared to compete in the 2002 Formula One World Championship.

TOYOTA F1 has announced that their new car has passed all the FIA safety tests, and has been cleared to compete in the 2002 Formula One World Championship.

Toyota's technical manager Dago Rohrer stated, "We received positive news outside of testing in Barcelona with the announcement that our new car has successfully completed all necessary crash tests and has been officially homologated by the FIA".

The team has been testing in wet conditions in Barcelona this week, its first outing alongside its Formula One competitors.
