Todt set to remain at Ferrari
FERRARI sporting director Jean Todt has confirmed that he is set to remain at Ferrari for the rest of his motorsport career -- amid rumors that he will retire at the end of the season.
Todt, who was a pivotal figure in the success of the Maranello-based team last season, insisted he would not consider switching to a rival outfit.
"The important thing is the team and that we can repeat our world championship success," Todt said. "I have received many offers but after Ferrari there will not be another team.
"If I stay it is because I feel good and also because Ferrari are happy with me. The team is strong and united and I feel at home in Italy."
The Frenchman added that he expects Ferrari to remain at the head of the F1 grid this season after ending their 21-year wait for the world drivers' title last year.
"You have no idea how heavy the weight hanging over my head was, having to win at all costs," he said. "I am convinced this year it will be easier, if only because the sword of Damocles is no longer there."
