Teams resume testing in Valencia

Another testing session started Tuesday at Valencia, where Rubens Barrichello led the nine other drivers in action. The Brazilian worked behind the wheel of a F2002, as did Ferrari test driver Luca Badoer. Michael Schumacher is expected to join Barrichello Wednesday.

Giancarlo Fisichella kicked off a four day test for Jordan Tuesday. Fisichella worked on general set-up in an EJ13, completing nearly 70 laps in the new car. Gary Anderson, Director of Engineering at Jordan, said, "It was good to get some normal test running in today, and although we still have a bit to do here and there, we have made progress. We haven't had any major problems today and we are beginning to understand the car better. It's encouraging that we are lapping a second quicker than we were here last year.

Olivier Panis and Cristiano Da Matta both had new TF103 chassis at their disposal Tuesday in Valencia. Both men spent the day on general set-up, and getting accustomed to the new chassis.

Mark Webber continued evaluation of the new Jaguar R4 in Valencia. The Australian is scheduled to continue his work Wednesday before handing over testing duties to teammate Antonio Pizzonia on Thursday.

Jacques Villeneuve and former Jordan driver, Takuma Sato tested for BAR Tuesday, and McLaren was also in action with Alexander Wurz and Gary Paffett.

Testing will continue in Valencia on Wednesday.
