Steiner gets technical director role
Gunther Steiner has been appointed technical director of Jaguar Racing to replace the departed Steve Nichols.
Steiner has been with Jaguar for only a couple of months, having been drafted in to run operations from the Ford World Rally Championship team.
The role of Formula 1 technical director is largely a managerial position these days and so the appointment of Steiner is not a huge surprise. The big question now will be whether or not chief designer John Russell and chief aerodynamicist Mark Handford stay with the team.
