Schumacher still wary of Hakkinen threat

MICHAEL SCHUMACHER has said that he still believes Mika Hakkinen is his biggest rival in the championship stakes this year, despite his slow start to the season.

Hakkinen has collected just one point this season from the opening three race when he finished sixth in Malaysia, but Schumacher is convinced the McLaren driver is the biggest threat to his crown.

"Last year Coulthard was ahead of Hakkinen at this time and you know what happened then," Schumacher said. "I am looking forward to the next races and I'm concentrating on scoring points without thinking of the others.

"I've heard people say that the championship is wide open again, but I never said it was over. You need more than excellent results in the first two races to say that the championship has been won."
