Schumacher cancels US vacation

MICHAEL SCHUMACHER's plans to take a few days out after the US Grand Prix and enjoy the countryside appear to have been cancelled.

As with last year's inaugural visit to the USA's most famous sporting venue, Schumacher had planned to take a few days out with his family in the American hills, riding Harley Davidsons and rock climbing with friends while enjoying his comparative anonymity away from the Formula 1 fever in Europe and Japan.

It is now understood that Schumacher will be in the States only as long as his racing and promotional commitments will keep him.
