Sarrazin to test for Prost

PROST GRAND PRIX is expected to give Formula 3000 driver Stephane Sarrazin a run in one of its cars at Magny-Cours within the next month. Sarrazin currently drives for the Apomatox Formula 3000 team, which is acting as Prost's junior team this year. He graduated to the series at the start of the year after being a frontrunner in French Formula 3 with LDÊAutosport.ÊHe won the opening Formula 3000 race of the year at Ochersleben, in Germany, but he has since struggled to be competitive.

Most observers in France feel that although Sarrazin is quick the country's best hope for the future is actually Soheil Ayari, who is trying to find a F1 test drive for next season. Ayari did have talks with Prost at the end of last year but these were terminated after Ayari tested for the Williams team.
