San Marino's wrist-slapping

THE San Marino Grand Prix organizers have been fined $250,000 and threatened with being expelled from the FormulaƊ1 World Championship and fined another $750,000 if there is another track invasion.

In May thousands of Ferrari fans invaded the track at the end of the race - for the second year running, despite severe warnings from the FIA.

The FIA said that San Marino would remain on the F1 calendar next year only if organizers provided a complete plan on how to avoid such invasions.
