Salo heading for Le Mans

Mika Salo is to have a go at winning the Le Mans 24 Hours with a team entered by Audi Sport UK.

Mika Salo, ditched by Toyota in F1 at the end of last year, is to have a go at winning the Le Mans 24 Hours with a team entered by Audi Sport UK. Salo with share an Audi R8 with Frank Biela and Perry McCarthy. Biela has won the race for the last three years but has been out of a job since the Audi factory team decided to withdraw.

Salo was one of the names that was linked with the Bentley drives that went to Johnny Herbert and Mark Blundell.
