Raikkonen keeps Austrian points after protest is rejected
SAUBER driver Kimi Raikkonen's fourth place finish in Austria has been allowed to stand after British American Racing's protest against the result was rejected by the FIA.
The International Court of Appeal met in Paris on Friday and the original decision of race stewards at the A1-Ring has been allowed to stand.
BAR protested that Raikkonen made an overtaking move under yellow flags after Benetton's Jenson Button had crashed out, but their complaint has not been upheld.
BAR driver Olivier Panis finished fifth behind Raikkonen and the protest was believed to be a result of Panis losing his points in the opening race of the season in Australia because of a similar complaint by Sauber.
