Montoya's engine difficulties at Monza

WILLIAMS driver Juan Pablo Montoya topped the times in the final day of testing at Monza on Friday but he was hampered by an oil pressure problem.

The Colombian lost track time after his BMW power unit was changed as a precaution because of a sudden drop in oil pressure, but he still was quicker than Sauber rival Nick Heidfeld with a lap time of one minute and 24.765 seconds.

"We were meant to do quite a lot of running but lost a bit of track time due to an engine related problem," Montoya said. "It was nothing major and we learned quite a lot again.

"We managed to complete just about everything we had planned. All in all I thought it was a pretty good test."

Heidfeld, who took over from team-mate Kimi Raikkonen, was more than six-tenths of a second slower than Montoya with a best time of one minute and 25.408 seconds.
