Tony Purnell, the boss of Cosworth Racing, is refusing to make any comment on stories that the Ford Motor Company-owned Cosworth may be planning to help General Motors with the development of the Chevrolet Indy Racing League engine. Purnell did not want to say anything on the subject when asked in Montreal although he did make the point that Pi Research, Cosworth's sister company, works for many different automobile manufacturers. Clearly, the fact that Purnell did not deny the GM rumours suggests that something is going on and his reticence would seem to suggest that negotiations are ongoing.
