The new windtunnel at Williams will be finished much quicker than many believe.

"The new tunnel will be fully commissioned by March next year," said team boss Frank Williams. "We've been building it since October."

Williams would not give details of the new windtunnel but said that it is "another generation of windtunnel" from the existing facility. The original tunnel will be upgraded once the new tunnel is up and running so that the team will have two facilities running by the middle of the year.

Williams has been in line for a lot of criticism in recent weeks from BMW for the aerodynamic performance of its FW25.
