Miller to take over Jaguar Formula 3?

ANDY MILLER, the former director of racing at Jaguar Racing, is to return to Formula 3 next season.

ANDY MILLER, the former director of racing at Jaguar Racing, is to return to Formula 3 next season. Miller was dropped recently by Jaguar Racing but is now in the process of setting up his own British F3 team and is reportedly trying to buy the Jaguar F3 team. Jaguar has still to decide whether it wants to continue its F3 program next year.

The move back to F3 will see Miller returning to his roots. He ran successful Formula 3 teams from 1982 until 1995, initially with Dave Price Racing and later as head of Paul Stewart Racing. In that time Miller's drivers won a string of British F3 titles, notably with Johnny Dumfries, Gil de Ferran and Jan Magnussen.

The 48-year-old Englishman was appointed operations director of Stewart Grand Prix and ran the team until the Ford takeover in 1999.
