Michael gives $1m to flood victims

Michael Schumacher is to donate $1m to a German relief fund for flood victims. The eastern part of Germany has been badly hit in recent days by serious flooding which has killed almost 100 people across central Europe after torrential rains.

Michael Schumacher is to donate $1m to a German relief fund for flood victims. The eastern part of Germany has been badly hit in recent days by serious flooding which has killed almost 100 people across central Europe after torrential rains.

Schumacher said he was shocked by the television pictures he saw of the devastation and wanted to help the undfortunate victims. The donation will go to a fund set up by German Chancellor Gerhard Schroeder.
