Lonely Button works alone
BENETTON driver Jenson Button endured a lonely day of work in testing at Estoril on Monday when he ran alone after Prost ended their work at the Portuguese circuit on Sunday.
Benetton and Prost had been the only teams present at the test over the weekend following Arrows' decision to switch to Valencia and Button tested the new B201 alone.
The young British driver completed 48 laps as he continued to learn the new car and worked on the set-up of the machine as he posted a quickest lap time of one minute and 21.097 seconds. Giancarlo Fisichella had ended his work in the new car on Saturday.
