Keep an eye on Liuzzi

Vitantonio Liuzzi, the World Karting Champion, who also raced last year in the Italian Formula Renault series, is to take the top drive in German Formula 3 this year

VITANTONIO LIUZZI, the World Karting Champion, who also raced last year in the Italian Formula Renault series, is to take the top drive in German Formula 3 this year with Bertram Schafer's Opel Team BSR with backing expected to come from Red Bull. The Italian hotshoe will be joined by Austria's Bernhard Auinger.

The major opposition to Liuzzi is expected to come from Mucke Motorsport's Markus Winkelhock, the son of the late F1 driver Manfred Winkelhock, who has the advantage of a year in the formula.
