Jordan mystified by sale rumours

The paddock in Montreal was full of stories that Eddie Jordan has sold his Formula 1 team to someone from the Middle East. The stories have been so strong that Jordan says that several other team bosses have come by to ask him for details but he is mystified as to why the rumours began and who is promoting them. There have been almost constant stories about Eddie selling the team but none of the supposed deals have actually occurred. Jordan has come to the conclusion that the rumours have developed because other teams are trying to disrupt Jordan and hide their own weaknesses.

Minardi's Paul Stoddart says that at the moment there are about a dozen different groups saying that they want to buy into Formula 1 but he says that he does not believe that any of them are actually serious.
