Here and there
It was a very quiet weekend for motorsport action but Marcus Gronholm was in the spotlight as he gave Ford its first British WRC win for 27 years. The result was made somewhat less impressive by the fact that Sebastien Loeb was not present - as he is still recovering from his shoulder injuries.

The result was made somewhat less impressive by the fact that Sebastien Loeb was not present - as he is still recovering from his shoulder injuries. The result means that Gronholm finished juist one point behind Loeb in the Drivers' title.
Gronholm finished more than a minute ahead of Manfred Stohl, who took his best result of the season with his OMV Peugeot. Subaru's Petter Solberg was third.
