THE Coulthard family name may not be listed in the annals of the Australian GP but at Melbourne last weekend a New Zealand youngster called Fabian Coulthard proved that there must be something in the genes. Coulthard, who is believed to be a distant cousin of David, won two of the three Formula Ford races held during the Grand Prix meeting - and he finished second in the other one.

Coulthard, from Auckland, is leading the Australian Formula Ford championship at the moment and hopes that success will help him to raise money to begin an international career at some point in the future.
