BMW's Dr. Burkhard Goschel has made it clear that the car manufacturers are not going to come to the rescue of Kirch, saying that they "don't have any interest in buying a stake" in the company. Goschel made the remarks during a BMW press conference in Munich on Tuesday.

The car manufacturers continue to say that they will start their own World Championship when the current Concorde Agreement ends in 2007.

Kirch is continuing to look for a partner to help out with the F1 investment but so far has not been able to find one.
