BAR to go to court on June 26

An attempt was made to seize the BAR equipment after the Monaco Grand Prix on Sunday but the paperwork was not in order and as a result the cars were not impounded and left Monaco shortly afterwards.

An attempt was made to seize the BAR equipment after the Monaco Grand Prix on Sunday but the paperwork was not in order and as a result the cars were not impounded and left Monaco shortly afterwards. There is now expected to be a hearing on June 26 to clarify the situation and see whether France Corbeil of the PPGI company has any claim against the team. Corbeil claims he is owed a sizeable commission on a sponsorship deal which he orchestrated in 1998. The BAR team management is completely different today and Corbeil does not seem to have any documentary evidence to back up his claims.
