ITALIAN Luca Badoer will return to testing duties with Ferrari on Tuesday after three weeks on the sidelines, it has been confirmed.

The team's official tester has been out-of-action since he crashed spectacularly at Barcelona on January 21, but he will return to the car at Fiorano where he will take over from Rubens Barrichello.

Brazilian Barrichello got Ferrari's week-long test at Fiorano underway on Monday with a six-hour workout. He completed 52 laps in the F1-2000 with a quickest lap time of one minute and 1.077 seconds.

Barrichello worked on electronics and did nine practice starts as well as performing eight pit-stops as Ferrari gave the entire team a workout. He will be in action at Mugello today in the F2001.
