Arrows begin testing AMT engines in Spain

ARROWS began testing the new Asia Motor Technologies (AMT) engine that will power their assault on the 2001 Formula One World Championship in Valencia on Wednesday.

The Leafield-based team have adapted the current A21 chassis to fit the new lightweight engine, which is an adaptation of the Peugeot engines used by Prost this year.

Drivers Pedro de la Rosa and Jos Verstappen will put the engine through its paces at the Ricardo Tormo circuit in Valencia after the three-day test was switched from the Circuit de Catalunya in Barcelona.
