Zanardi confirms comeback
Alex Zanardi will return to racing in the European Touring Car Championship at the wheel of a specially-adapted BMW 320i which features hand controls.
Alex Zanardi will return to racing in the European Touring Car Championship at the wheel of a specially-adapted BMW 320i which features hand controls.
The car will be entered by the BMW Italy-Spain team run by Roberto Ravaglia and will be feature regular drivers Antonio Garcia and Fabrizio Giovanardi.
"I set myself the goal of leading a normal life again," Zanardi says ."I can walk, swim, go skiing and on October 19 I will complete my vision by competing seriously in a race. If I manage to keep the pace at Monza, I shall have reaffirmed my faith in myself."
