World Council tweaks 2013 calendar

The FIA World Motor Sports Council approved a provisional 2013 F1 calendar at Friday's meeting, with some minor changes to the draft calendar that was made public over the weekend of the Singapore GP.

The FIA World Motor Sports Council approved a provisional 2013 F1 calendar at Friday's meeting, with some minor changes to the draft calendar that was made public over the weekend of the Singapore GP.

The German GP has been moved forward a week to a July 14 date and Belgium also comes forward a week, to August 25, shortening the record five-week summer break that we saw in 2012 by one week.

Later on in the year, the Korean and Japanese dates are switched, with Korea to run first, on October 6, with Suzuka a week later. The full calendar is now as follows, subject to final approval in December:
