Webber expects tough fight at Silverstone

Despite Red Bull's speed in Valencia and his own liking for Silverstone, where he won the British GP two years ago, the Australian is expecting still competition this time around.

Despite Red Bull's speed in Valencia and his own liking for Silverstone, where he won the British GP two years ago, the Australian is expecting stiff competition this time around.

"The speed in Valencia was a case of everything coming together and for sure we didn't make the car slower," Webber said, "But we're not kidding ourselves that we are going to drive away from the field at Silverstone.

"There's not many tracks like this on the calendar. Barcelona has some high speed stuff and Lewis (Hamilton) was very quick but had to go to the back of the grid."

Webber is currently second in the championship standings behind Fernando Alonso and, asked what he thought his chances were, replied: "As good as anyone else's. You've got to stay in the hunt and be consistent but you still need to win. It is really tight this year."
