Sutil given suspended sentence

German Formula 1 driver Adrian Sutil has been handed an 18-month suspended sentence after being found guilty of bodily harm.

German Formula 1 driver Adrian Sutil has been handed an 18-month suspended sentence after being found guilty of bodily harm.

The incident involved Lotus co-owner Eric Lux who had his neck injured in an incident said to involve a champagne glass. It happened in a Shanghai nightclub last April, where a party was celebrating Lewis Hamilton's victory.

Sutil was found guilty on the second day of the trial, held in Munich. In addition to the sentence, Sutil has been fined 200,000 euros, which is to be given to charity.
