Super Aguri F1 on the road

The FIA has confirmed that Super Aguri F1 has gone through the necessary process for a late entry in the FIA Formula 1 World Championship and will be allowed to compete against the 10 existing teams.

The FIA has confirmed that Super Aguri F1 has gone through the necessary process for a late entry in the FIA Formula 1 World Championship and will be allowed to compete against the 10 existing teams. It will be the first new team for several years. The team will start the year with updated Arrows chassis dating back to 2002 but intends to have its own cars prepared in time for the start of the European season. A number of drivers have been mentioned as possible candidates alongside Takuma Sato with Yuji Ide, Sakon Yamamoto and Roger Yasukawa all said to be in the picture.
