Stewart new factory soon

STEWART GRAND PRIX is in final negotiation on the site of a new factory - and the Milton Keynes team may cut corners by moving to an existing building rather than following the original policy of funding a purpose-built facility.

STEWART GRAND PRIX is in final negotiation on the site of a new factory - and the Milton Keynes team may cut corners by moving to an existing building rather than following the original policy of funding a purpose-built facility. The team is trying to play down the negotiations, saying that there is still the chance that the team will stay where it is and expand into available industrial units on either side of the existing factory but this could only be a short-term plan as the current headquarters do not really fit into the Stewart image of super-professionalism, being rather cramped and makeshift.

We understand that an alternative factory has been located in the Milton Keynes area and that negotiations are taking place which could enable the team to concentrate everything into one factory. If these talks are successful the team could be on the move in the winter. No commitments have yet been made.
