Spyker signs Rodriguez for testing

The Etihad Aldar Spyker team has announced that GP2 driver Roldan Rodriguez will join its test and development driver line-up over the 2007/08 winter period. Twenty-two year old Roldan, from Valladolid, Spain, completed a 50km shakedown of the Spyker F8-VII at Silverstone last week.

Twenty-two year old Roldan, from Valladolid, Spain, completed a 50km shakedown of the Spyker F8-VII at Silverstone last week.

He iscurrently driving for the Minardi Piquet Sports team in GP2 and is 15th in the championship. Prior to GP2, he competed for four seasons in Spanish Formula 3, finishing second in 2006 but won the Italian F3000 title in 2005. He tested a Minardi F1 car the same year.
