Silverstone lands MotoGP

Silverstone has announced that is has signed a five-year deal to host the British Motorcycle Grand Prix from 2010 onwards. The series was previously holding it races at Donington Park, but the deal for the British Grand Prix to move to the Leicestershire track has opend the way for Silverstone to take over the motorcycles.

The news that Donington has landed planning permission to be rebuilt for F1 will add pressure for Silverstone to develop more of its plans for the future. This is good news for fans as both venues will end up being better as a result.
