Following a winding up order in the High Court in London on September 5 2007, BusinessF1 Magazine Ltd has been placed in the hands of the Official Receiver. The magazine's publisher Thomas Anthony John Rubython (52) of Mallow Street, London, has also been declared personally bankrupt.

The winding up petition against the magazine was from Tony Purnell, former head of the now-defunct Jaguar Racing F1 team.

Although the magazine is still being published it continues to have no access to the Formula 1 Paddock at Grand Prix events, following a March 2003 High Court decision which rejected Rubython's claim that he should be granted access. The FIA rejected the demand for accreditation on the grounds that the publication did not meet the necessary requirements. The High Court rejected Rubython's case on all grounds, leave to appeal was refused and costs were awarded to the FIA.
